Speed up Your Old Computer
However, with a little bit of brainstorming, it is possible to get rid of this problem. Recently, a software has come to the market that, when installed, will make your old computer work like new.
New York-based media outlet The Verge reported that a US school recently installed high-performance NeverWar software on outdated computers, Mac desktops, and laptops. After installing the software, the computers are working at a much faster speed.
This software can be downloaded for free. You will need a CloudReady USB installer.
First, download the software zip file from the Neverware website. Now boot with the CloudReady USB installer. The installation process will begin.
You will be given some instructions in a few steps. If you can follow them properly, your slow computer will work like new.
It’s not too late; if your computer is old, then download and install this software now. However, you will need to use Google’s Chromebook operating system to run the software.
50 Million Registrations for Cheap Phones
The company said that only 2.5 million people who registered will be provided with the world’s cheapest phone, called ‘Freedom 251’.
Registration began last Thursday morning. The website started receiving six lakh hits per second. Registration was closed on the first day due to a server crash. When it was reopened later, more than 5 crore people registered. The registration is scheduled to be open until 8 pm tonight, but it is reported that it may be closed before the unexpected registration.
The company has announced that deliveries of the smartphone will begin on April 10. To that end, work is underway to manufacture 2.5 million phones.
Meanwhile, there has been much discussion and criticism about how it is possible to deliver such a smartphone to customers for just Rs 251. The regulatory body has also requested the government to look into the matter. However, it is believed that they are making this investment to exploit future business potential.
Format an External Hard Drive in FAT32
I tried to format my 1-terabyte external hard drive in Windows 7’s FAT32 system some time ago, but I could not format the drive. So I tried a different way. I tried a few methods and all of them worked. So I wrote an article about these methods.
Some tools for formatting drives using FAT32:
Before using Command Prompt or any third-party program, you can use some software or programs made by some hard disk companies that can convert and format hard drives of 32 GB or larger to the FAT32 system. Below is a list of two:-
- Seagate DiscWizard
- Western Digital FAT32 Formatting Tool
Format an External Hard Drive in FAT32 using DOS
First, go to Run from your computer’s Start Menu. Type Cmd in the Run search box and press Enter.
Then type this command prompt code. Format /FS: FAT32 X:
Replace X with the location of your external drive.
This method can cause some problems with the CMD size command line. Some specific users can format the drive forever using the same method. However, the interesting thing is that this method can sometimes take up to 5 hours to format the drive.
